§ THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHE-QUER (Mr. GOSCHEN) (St. George's, Hanover Square)Yes, Sir; English bronze coin is being issued as usual. The Mint has an ample supply to meet the demands occasioned by the withdrawal of the French coins from circulation. It may interest the House to know 693 that about £6,000 worth of French bronze coins have been received, and that it is anticipated that the total amount withdrawn from circulation will not exceed £12,000. The Mint have in hand English bronze coin to nearly twice this amount.
