HC Deb 29 March 1887 vol 312 cc1767-8

Order for Consideration of Lords Amendments read.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Lords Amendments be now considered."—(Mr. Dodds.)

MR. SEXTON (Belfast, W.)

I beg-to move that the debate be adjourned until Thursday next.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Debate be adjourned till Thursday next."—(Mr. Sexton.)

SIR JAMES CORRY (Armagh, Mid)

On behalf of the promoters of the Bill, I am willing to consent to the adjournment proposed by the hon. Member opposite, because I believe the House is anxious that the right hon. Gentleman the Member for Mid Lothian (Mr. W. E. Gladstone) should have an early opportunity of addressing the House on the Criminal Law Amendment (Ireland) Bill, and I have no desire to delay that opportunity by a Private Bill discussion.

Motion agreed to.

Debate adjourned till Thursday.
