HC Deb 10 March 1887 vol 311 c1740
MR. D. CRAWFORD (Lanark, N.E.)

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, Whether the Coal Mines Regulation Bill will be delivered in sufficient time to give Members of the House an opportunity of considering it before the second reading is moved; and, whether he intends to proceed with the second reading on Monday next, when the Bill is the first Order on the Paper?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE (Mr. MATTHEWS) (Birmingham, E.)

in reply, said, that it was not his intention to proceed with the second reading of this Bill on Monday next. He hoped that it would be printed and distributed next week. He would take care that there was ample opportunity of considering it before the second reading.
