HC Deb 04 March 1887 vol 311 cc1258-9
DR. TANNER (Cork Co., Mid)

asked the Secretary to the Board of Trade, Whether it is the intention of the Board to abolish the system of licences for foreign pilots in British waters; and, whether he has any reason to believe that such action may provoke retaliation on the part of Foreign Governments?

THE SECRETARY (Baron HENRY DE WORMS) (Liverpool, East Toxteth)

The Question turns upon a point of law, and also on international agreements. It is still under consideration by the Government.
