HC Deb 29 July 1887 vol 318 c552
MR. DILLON (Mayo, E.)

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, as to the course he definitely intended to take with reference to the Distressed Unions (Ireland) Bill.

THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR) (Manchester, E.)

said, he was anxious, as he had always been, to press on this Bill; but the hon. Member had put down a Notice which made it impossible to bring on the Bill after half-past 12. Under those circumstances, he did not see how at present it was possible to go on with the measure.
