§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE (Mr. MATTHEWS) (Birmingham, E.), in reply, said, that taking into consideration the reduction of the sentences on appeal, both in the case of Edward Pole and of Stafford, it was his intention to offer to Her Majesty a recommendation to release the others in custody.
