§ THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE (Sir JAMES FERGUSSON) (Manchester, N.E.)No official information has yet reached Her Majesty's Government of the reported seizure of the vessel in question. We are in correspondence with Her Majesty's Minister at Washington in regard to the seizure in Alaskan waters last autumn of three British schooners, while engaged in seal fishing, by an American Revenue cruiser, and Sir L. West has been directed to ask for copies of the judicial records in those cases.
