asked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Whether he has received any information in relation to the arrest of Mr. Dillon, a British subject, in Odessa?

No information has been received at the Foreign Office in respect to such an arrest.

Will the right hon. Gentleman make some inquiries, because the gentleman referred to telegraphed to me yesterday asking me to bring his arrest before the House?

If the hon. Gentleman lets me know the particulars of the case I will inquire into it. The Foreign Office is not informed of the arrest of any British subject in a foreign country unless there is something peculiar in the case.
