SALT (Stafford)asked the First Lord of the Treasury, If he intends to proceed further with the Lunacy Acts Amendment Bill; and, if so, whether he intends also to introduce and to pass a Lunacy Law Consolidation Bill during the present Session, since considerable inconvenience may arise from the addition of many new and important provisions to the Statute Law without a general consolidation of the laws relating to lunacy?
§ THE FIRST LORD (Mr. W. H. SMITH) (Strand, Westminster), in reply, said, it would be a matter for great regret if the Bill did not pass this Session; but it was in the hands of the House.
