HC Deb 14 July 1887 vol 317 c763
MR. P. M'DONALD (Sligo, N.)

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether the authorities are aware that drilling has been going on for some time in the Orange Lodge, 10, Rutland Square, Dublin; and, if so, whether the other institutions and clubs in the vicinity will be equally permitted the like privilege?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR) (Manchester, E.)

No, Sir. The police, who state that the Resident Secretary is at all times ready to admit them to the premises in Rutland Square, inform me that there is no foundation for the allegation.

MR. P. M'DONALD

I have very good reason to know that the practice exists.
