HC Deb 21 February 1887 vol 311 c162
MR. MONTAGU (Tower Hamlets, Whitechapel)

asked the Postmaster General, Whether he received a deputation from the London Chamber of Commerce in December last; whether he then stated that the present arrangements for the carriage of patterns by post throughout the United Kingdom constitute "not merely an anomaly, but a grave scandal;" and, whether any steps are being taken by his Department to amend the charges and regulations for the conveyance of patterns by post?

THE POSTMASTER GENERAL (Mr. RAIKES) (Cambridge University)

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I made, on the 17th instant, to a similar Question asked by the hon. Member for East Donegal (Mr. A. O'Connor).
