asked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether the Government have decided to accept the suggestion made by the noble Lord the Member for South Paddington, to refer the Army and Navy Estimates to the consideration of a Committee of the House of Commons?

The intention of the Government is to refer the Army and Navy Estimates to a Committee for examination and report, in accordance with the suggestion made by my noble Friend the Member for South Paddington (Lord Randolph Churchill).
