Friend last Session, I am fully aware of the importance of this subject; but looking to the present condition of Public Business he cannot expect me to make any definite pledge as to legislation. I can only say that I will do my best to further the efforts already made by my Predecessors in Office to place the present system of police pensions on a more satisfactory basis.
