THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Sir JAMES FERGUSSON) () (who replied) Manchester, N.E.said: I am asked to state that the recommendations of the Finance Commission are under the consideration of the Government of India, with a view to early action; and the Secretary of State is of opinion that, for the present, they must be treated as confidential. As soon as the proposals of the Government of India are received, his Lordship will consider what steps can be taken to publish the Report.
