HC Deb 30 August 1887 vol 320 c468
MR. BONSOR (Surrey, Wimbledon)

asked the President of the Local Government Board, Whether he intends to proceed this Session with the Local Authorities (Expenses) Bill; and, if so, whether he will amend it, so as to exclude the possibility of sanitary inquiries by the Medical Officers of the Board falling on Local Authorities?

THE PRESIDENT (Mr. RITCHIE) () Tower Hamlets, St. George's

It is my intention to proceed this Session with the Local Authorities (Expenses) Bill. I shall be quite willing to insert words in Committee which will make it clear that it is not intended that sanitary inquiries by Medical Inspectors of the Board should come within the provisions of the Bill.
