HC Deb 26 August 1887 vol 320 c8
MR. BIGGAR (Cavan, W.)

asked the Secretary to the Treasury, What means he is taking to improve the drainage of the Lower Bann; and, whether he will at least have the wooden dock gates cleared away before the rainy season sets in?

THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDEE SECRETARY (Colonel KING-HARMAN) (Kent, Isle of Thanet)

(who replied) said, the Government had no means or power of touching the Bann navigation works; but when the Vote was taken they proposed to enter into negotiations with the Local Board on the subject.
