§ THE SECRETARY (Baron HENRY DE WORMS) (Liverpool, East Toxteth)No allegations as to the mode of comparison of local standards being inefficient have been made; but in 1885 the Inspector of Weights and Measures for Birkenhead represented that the standards had not been returned to him in a satisfactory condition. There is no instance of any local standard having been found to be in error, or to have required rectification, after having been passed by the Standards Department.
