§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE (Mr. MATTHEWS) (Birmingham, E.)Under the provisions of 2 & 3 Vict. c. 47, s. 22, a deduction at the rate of 2½ per cent is made from the pay of Chief Constables, Assistant Chief Constables, Superintendents, and Inspectors, and at the rate of 2 per cent from the pay of sergeants and constables, which deductions are applied to the Police Superannuation Fund.
