§ MR. CONYBEARE (Cornwall, Camborne)asked the Postmaster General, When he will be able to communicate to him the result of his inquiries into the conduct of the Postmaster of St. Columb, in Cornwall?
§ THE POSTMASTER GENERAL (Mr. RAIKES) (Cambridge University)I have made inquiry into this matter. Mr. Howard has been completely exonerated from the charge of dishonesty, both by the Judge of the Court of Bankruptcy, who summoned him for examination, and by the Official Receiver in Bankruptcy. These gentlemen are of opinion that the charge arose purely from a misconception of the facts of the case. Under the circumstances, I do not propose to interfere.
