HC Deb 01 August 1887 vol 318 c712
COLONEL HUGHES-HALLETT (Rochester)

asked the Postmaster General, The price paid by the Government for the telegraph insulators manufactured by one particular firm; and, what is the ordinary market value of this insulator?

THE POSTMASTER GENERAL (Mr. RAIKES) (Cambridge University)

The latest price paid for the insulator used by the Department referred to in the first, part of the hon. Member's Question is 10d.; and as this kind of insulator is manufactured solely by the firm from whom they are obtained, 10d. may be taken as the ordinary market value.
