KING (Hull, Central)asked the Under Secretary of State for India, Whether a Despatch was received by the Secretary of State for India, in or about September last, on the subject of the grievances complained of by the Un-covenanted Service in India; and, whether it is true that the Government of India has made recommendations for changes in the condition of the Un-covenanted Service as to length of service for pensions, leave counting as service, a graduated scale of pensions, or any other matters; and, if so, whether he will lay the Despatch, and any Correspondence which has taken place on the subject, before the House?
