asked the Under Secretary of State for India, Whether any members of the Covenanted Civil Services are, or have been, employed as Military Volunteers in Burmah; and, if so, in what capacity, their names, at what rates of pay and allowances?

No; but Covenanted Civil Servants have, on some occasions, had to accompany the military columns in the discharge of their Civil duties.
