§ THE CHIEF SECERTARY (SIR MICHAEL HICKS-BEACH) (Bristol, W.)I am not yet in a position to inform the House of the names of the Royal Commissioners to be appointed to inquire into the Development of the Resources of Ireland, and I doubt whether I shall be able to so before the close of the Session—if the Session closes as early as we anticipate. I can, however, state to the House the names of the Commissioners appointed to inquire into the working of the Land Act, 1881. Earl Cowper will be Chairman, and associated with him will be the Earl of Milltown, Sir James Caird, Judge Neligan, and Mr. George Fottrell.
