HC Deb 14 September 1886 vol 309 c340
MR. HUNTER (Aberdeen, N.)

asked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Whether Her Majesty's Government intend to bring in, next Session, a Bill to consolidate and amend the Law of Copyright?

THE SECRETARY TO THE BOARD OF TRADE (Baron HENRY DE WORMS) (Liverpool, East Toxteth)

(who replied) said: The Board of Trade fully recognize the necessity for legislation in connection with the Law of Copyright; but they are not at present in a position to give a pledge as to the exact time when they will be able to deal with this important subject. The Board will not fail, however, to give the matter their best consideration during the Recess.
