asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether he has received a copy of the following resolution:— 3rd September 1886. Resolved, That we, the Board of Guardians of Mount Bellew Union, respectfully request the present Parliament to grant a similar amount of money as the former Parliament did for to recoup the clerk and rate collectors of this and the other Unions of Ireland for their services this year in compiling the Parliamentary Voters' Lists; and, if so, will the Government consent to the request which it contains?

, in reply, said, that the resolution referred to by the hon. Member had been received; and he had already stated to the House that it was not the intention of the Government to interfere with the Vote this year.
