(Inverness,asked the Secretary to the Treasury, Whether, having regard to the fact that the Post Office authorities, recognising the neces- 364 sity of increased postal accommodation for the town of Inverness, acquired a site for a new post office there, upon which they have been paying a feu duty since Whitsunday 1885, it is the intention of the postal authorities, in the interests of the general community at Inverness, to order the work of building the new post office to be proceeded with without further delay?

FOWLER) (Wolverhampton, E.)Plans for the proposed new Post Office at Inverness have been prepared; but some alterations were found necessary in order to provide more complete and satisfactory accommodation. Fresh plans are now being made in Her Majesty's Office of Works, and are expected to be ready within a few weeks. The Postmaster General is anxious that no time should be lost in settling them, and in proceeding with the erection of the building.
