E.)asked the Secretary to the Treasury, If, seeing that Thursdays are generally becoming early closing days in retail shops and wholesale establishments, the Government will consent to open the Bethnal Green Museum on Thursday evenings, for the use and enjoyment of the employés thus released from business; and, whether, seeing that the number of students on Wednesdays are under fifty, the Government will consent to open the Museum as a free day on Wednesdays?
§ THE SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Mr. HENRY H. FOWLER) (Wolverhampton, E.)The Science and Art Department are quite willing to open Bethnal Green Museum on Thursday evenings, in lieu of Tuesday evenings, as at present, if the inhabitants of Bethnal Green are in favour of the change. The question of opening the Museum free of charge on Wednesday is at present under the consideration of the Science and Art Department.
