NORRIS (Tower Hamlets, Limehouse)asked Mr. Attorney General, If he can give any information to the House as to what proceedings are or will be taken in the Law Courts on the question of the legality of the junior Member for Northampton sitting and voting in this House, and to state when a decision is likely to be arrived at?
§ THE ATTORNEY GENERAL (Sir CHARLES RUSSELL) (Hackney, S.), in reply, said, that, the hon. Member having been kind enough to explain that the Question referred to the sitting and voting of the hon. Member for Northampton during the present Parliament, he had to state that there was no intention on the part of the Government of taking any steps in the matter.
