§ MR. W. O'BRIEN(for Mr. T. M. HEALY) (Tyrone, S.)asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether, in view of the approaching Poor Law Elections in Ireland, the Local Government Board will give instructions to allow the solicitors of candidates to be present at the scrutiny of votes in order to obviate the expense, delay, and inconvenience of subsequent sworn inquiries into elections, which have become so frequent of late years?
