HC Deb 07 June 1886 vol 306 c1144
MAJOR SAUNDERSON (Armagh, N.)

I have to ask the right hon. Gentleman the Chief Secretary a Question of which I have given him private Notice. It is as to whether he can give any further information to the House with regard to the brutal murder which has taken place recently in Kerry? An old man named Tangney, having been brutally assassinated near Killarney, I wish to ask also whether any arrests have been made in consequence?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Mr. JOHN MORLEY) (Newcastle-on-Tyne)

I do not think I can add anything of particular interest to the reports of this barbarous crime which have appeared in the public prints. I regret to say that up to the present moment no arrests have been made.
