HC Deb 13 April 1886 vol 304 c1429
MR. ESSLEMONT (Aberdeen, E.)

asked the Lord Advocate, Whether his attention has been called to alleged neglect on the part of the Coastguard at Ratting Head in connection with the loss of a vessel (the schooner Enterprise), which went ashore on Sunday 4th instant; and, whether he would direct an inquiry into the case?

THE SECRETARY TO THE ADMIRALTY (Mr. HIBBERT) (Oldham)

(who replied) said, that inquiries were now being made in connection with the loss of the Enterprise. No report of any neglect on the part of the Coastguard had been made to the Admiralty. When any information had been received on the subject he would gladly communicate it to the hon. Member.
