HC Deb 09 April 1886 vol 304 c1168
MR. KIMBER (Wandsworth)

asked the President of the Board of Trade, Whether the shorthand note which was taken of his interview with the sugar refiners will be transcribed, and printed, and circulated in any papers for the information of the trade and the public?

THE PRESIDENT (Mr. MUNDELLA) (Sheffield, Brightside)

The representatives of the Press were present at the interview in question, and gave such are port as they considered necessary; but for the Government to undertake to print and circulate what takes place at a deputation would, I think, prove a dangerous and very costly precedent.
