HC Deb 09 April 1886 vol 304 c1162
MR. DILLON(for Mr. T. M. HEALY) (Mayo, E.)

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether they have any power to dismiss Colonel Lloyd's deputy for his connection with the falsification of the records in Lloyd v. Shaw; and, is it intended to bring the papers in the matter under the notice of the Lord Chancellor, with a view to Colonel Lloyd's position as a magistrate being reviewed?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Mr. JOHN MORLEY) (Newcastle-on-Tyne)

, in reply, said, that the Government had no power to dismiss Colonel Lloyd's deputy, and there did not appear to be any reason for bringing Colonel Lloyd's name before the Lord Chancellor.
