HC Deb 15 May 1885 vol 298 c632
MR. WILLIAM REDMOND

asked, Whether it was true, as stated in The Standard, that the authorities of the Vatican had given to Mr. Errington three names for submission to the English Government with reference to the appointment to the See of Dublin; and, whether the Government were now considering which of the three names they would recommend?

MR. GLADSTONE

As far as I am concerned, I know nothing, and I will go further, and say I believe nothing. I have read The Standard with considerable care; but I am afraid I missed that paragraph.
