HC Deb 14 May 1885 vol 298 c475
MR. W. E. FORSTER

asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Whether the definition of the term Foreign Security, in the Resolution with regard to Stamp Duties, includes a Colonial Government Security?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Mr. CHILDERS)

In reply to my right hon. Friend I have to say that British, Colonial, and Foreign Securities transferable to bearer will alike be liable to the new duty.
