On behalf of my noble Friend the Member for Middlesex (Lord George Hamilton) I beg leave to give Notice that on the second reading of the Consolidated Fund Bill he will move— That this House, having shown its readiness to grant such supplies as may ho required for the defence of the Empire, is of opinion that, before proceeding with this Bill, it is entitled to receive adequate information as to the present policy of Her Majesty's Government in respect of the purposes to which the money granted by the recent Vote of Credit is to be applied.
