HC Deb 08 May 1885 vol 298 cc21-2
MR. ALEXANDER ROSS

asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether his attention has been called to the continued closing of the Boxley (near Maidstone) Rifle Range, the inconvenience resulting there from to the troops quartered in that town, and to the expense and loss of time occasioned to the Volunteers by having to practise at the Milton-next-Gravesend Range?

THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTON

The Boxley Rifle Range was closed last year, as it was considered dangerous. Arrangements have been concluded for the acquisition of a safe range, and it will be opened as soon as possible.
