HC Deb 13 March 1885 vol 295 c1069
MR. BOURKE

asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether Copies of Telegrams which General Gordon sent to Sir E. Baring and others during the last few months of the siege of Khartoum have reached the Government; and, when will they be laid before Parliament?

LORD EDMOND FITZMAURICE

Sir Evelyn Baring forwarded by the mail which arrived last Monday some letters addressed to himself by General Gordon, and bearing date the 9th of November and 12th and 13th of December last. They are now being printed, and I do not think there will be any objection to lay them on the Table with any that may be subsequently received.
