HC Deb 12 March 1885 vol 295 c884
MR. ALDERMAN COTTON

asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, If he will lay upon the Table a Return of the several Funds under his control, or that of any Department of the Government, which were converted, under the Act of 1884, from 3 per cent, to 2½ or 2¾ per cent. Stock, both as regards principal and interest, and the effect of the transaction on each particular Fund, so far as the trust for which it is held is concerned?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Mr. CHILDERS)

I have no objection to give the Return. I will lay it on the Table shortly.
