asked the Secretary of State for War, If he can state why Methuen's Irregular Horse, serving in South Africa, to whom uniform was promised, have not been supplied with great coats?

MR. BRAND

(who replied) said: Sir Charles Warren, before leaving on the 13th of November, requested that great coats should be sent to the Cape. They were accordingly despatched on the 14th of November.
