HC Deb 26 February 1885 vol 294 c1417
MR. RAIKES

asked the First Lord of the Treasury, Whether it is his intention, during the present Session, to propose the revival of the Standing Committees on Law and Trade?

MR. GLADSTONE,

in reply, said, that this would depend on the measures the Government decided to proceed with, and they could not make up their minds on that point until some progress had been made with the Parliamentary Elections (Redistribution) Bill. Ample Notice should be given of any proposal to revive the Committees.
