THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTONI regret to have to repeat that I cannot give details as to the constitution of individual corps. I may, however, remark that the battalion in question is not going to the Soudan, but to Gibraltar, where musketry drill and practice can be carried on for recruits or other soldiers quite as well as at home.
