HC Deb 30 April 1885 vol 297 c1129
MR. O'DONNELL

asked the noble Lord the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, If he could give the details of the settlement with regard to The Bosphore Egyptien incident; and whether it was true that the office of that paper was to be reopened, and that the Egyptian Government had apologized for their proceedings?

LORD EDMOND FITZMAURICE

I have already stated that the incident is practically closed; but the arrangement has not yet assumed the final form which would enable me to make any official statement to the House. But the Papers will be laid on the Table.
