§ SIR STAFFORD NORTHCOTEI beg to ask the Prime Minister, What day the Government propose to fix for taking the Report of Supply upon the Vote of Credit? In his powerful speech of the previous night, the Prime Minister appealed to the House not to allow any delay, and there was but one desire, to agree to that suggestion; but I hope we may be allowed a proper time for discussion on the Report. I therefore ask, if the right hon. Gentleman will consent, if possible, to the Report being taken on Thursday, after the Budget?
MR. GLADSTONE,in reply, said, he thought that the request of the right hon. Gentleman was perfectly reasonable and convenient, and the Government would make arrangements accordingly.
