HC Deb 24 October 1884 vol 293 c153
VISCOUNT LEWISHAM

asked the Secretary of State for War, Whether it is correct, as reported, that the saddles provided for the Camel Corps being made of green wood were unfit for service; and, if so, who is responsible?

THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTON

I have no information as to these saddles, which were made in Egypt under the direction of the General Officer commanding.
