§ MR. DEASYMay I ask, whether the right hon. Gentleman approves of ex-county Inspectors acting as justices 128 of the peace within counties where they have held office?
§ MR. CAMPBELL-BANNERMANThey cannot act as Justices of the Peace unless, as I say, they are specially appointed by the Lord Chancellor. I cannot say whether or not I approve of such appointments. I cannot say, unless I am asked as to any specific case.
