HC Deb 20 November 1884 vol 294 cc74-5
MR. ASHMEAD-BARTLETT,

in view of the statement which had been made on this subject by the Prime Minister, asked the noble Lord the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Whether the Great Powers of Europe had withdrawn their solemn protest against the act of repudiation by the Khedive's Government?

LORD EDMOND EITZMAURICE

suggested that if the hon. Member wished to ask a Question in regard to Egyptian affairs he should take the usual course of giving Notice.

MR. ASHMEAD-BARTLETT

gave Notice accordingly.
