HC Deb 10 November 1884 vol 293 cc1380-1
MR. BIGGAR

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether the attention of the Local Government Board has been drawn to the fact that Mr. Payne, Chairman of the Bantry Board of Guardians, frequently commences the business of the Board before the regularly appointed time, viz.: twelve, noon; and, whether the Local Government Board will direct Mr. Payne to observe the rules strictly in future?

MR. CAMPBELL-BANNERMAN

The Local Government Board inform me that their attention has been directed to this subject, and they have written to the Guardians with regard to it, and expect to hear from them after their next Board meeting.
