§ LORD EDMOND FITZMAURICEThe preliminary Agreement for the renewal of relations between Great Britain and Mexico has been passed by the Mexican Senate, and the ratifications were exchanged at Mexico on the 28th ultimo. Her Majesty's Government have no reason to doubt that the Mexican Government will now proceed with the investigation into the British claims provided 1100 for in the 1st Article of the Agreement, a copy of which has been laid before Parliament in the Paper, Mexico, No. 1, 1884.
