§ MR. J. K. CROSSPerhaps I may answer this Question. The Secretary of State has seen with regret, the report in the newspapers of the horrible atrocities said to have been perpetrated at Mandalay; but he is not aware that the Government of India contemplate interference in the internal affairs of Burmah, which is an independent State.
